February 26£¬ HBIB Chairman Liu Jian met HBIS Independent Directors, Vafa Moayed, Dirk Dewitte and Patrick Moinet in Luxembourg and discussed to enhance the performance of the company.

Liu Jian said, facing the challenges of the industry, as a major shareholder of Duferco, HBIS shared the same idea with the independent directors and hope to see a steady and healthy Duferco. HBIS has been consistent on Duferco, and it is the largest trader in world steel industry, should always follow the rules. The standard of stable and healthy performance is adding values and creating profits, while manage the risks. Duferco should constantly improve its management structures, internal control systems, risk control, business capabilities. Duferco could take full advantages of its market shares and promote HBIS in global competition. As ever, HBIS will ensure the independent operation and provide support to Duferco. We will hear the voices of Independent Directors and joint hands to promote Duferco.

Independent directors said it was very challenging in 2025, while HBIS Duferco performed very well, in trading and financing. 2026, the stability of the board and transparency in decision making is essential to protect core value and competitiveness of the company and add more value to the assets. As independent directors, they will fulfill their responsibilities and give strong support to the board. They will improve management structure of the company and enable swift and better decisions and improve efficiency. HBIS Duferco board will orderly make decisions, assign performance goals, coordinate efforts of departments and deepen the collaboration with financial institutions.
